Me gustaría jugar en un equipo, sobre todo en mi mejor deporte el baloncesto. Quiero sentirme como cuando juegas con amigos todo el tiempo. También quiero salir más por mi ciudad, pero eso significa tener más amigos cerca de mi casa o visitarme, porque todavía no me gusta hacer cosas sola como caminar o jugar a la pelota. Supongo que por eso he pasado tanto tiempo jugando online.

I would like to play on a team, especially in my best sport basketball. I want to feel like it does when you´re playing with friends all the time. I also want to get out around my city more but that means having more friends near my house, or visiting me, because I still don´t like doing things alone like walking or playing ball. I guess that´s why I have spent so much time playing online.

Ayer me divertí por primera vez en el baloncesto porque no solo estábamos haciendo ejercicios. Tuve que hacer una bandeja y anotar y mostrar algunas de mis habilidades. Me sentí cansado después, pero me duché y me afeité cuando llegué a casa como solía hacer este verano en Albany con mis amigos. Eso se sintió muy bien y gratificante y espero que mis deportes en Prepatec se vuelvan más así.

I had my first bit of fun at basketball yesterday because we weren´t just doing drills. I got to do a layup and score and show off some of my skills. I felt tired afterwards but took a shower and shaved when I got home like I used to do this summer in Albany with my friends. That felt really good and fulfilling and I hope my sports at Prepatec get more like that.

Todavía estoy tratando de encontrar formas de obtener conocimiento sin que me tome todo el tiempo. Todavía no disfruto leyendo o viendo videos largos de películas que no elegí y desearía poder hablar sobre las cosas que necesitamos aprender en términos de lo que ya sabemos. Entonces podría inspirarme para hacer otras formas de aprendizaje.

I am still trying to find ways to get knowledge without it taking up all my time. I am still not enjoying reading or watching long videos of movies I did not choose and wish we could talk about the things we need to learn in terms of what we already know. Then I might get inspired to do other forms of learning.

Por primera vez estoy empezando a disfrutar de la escuela por algo más que las razones sociales. Me gusta hacer la tarea con la ayuda de mis padres y escuchar a todos hablar sobre cosas en clase. Este es un gran cambio con respecto a mi educación en Free School, que se trataba de interacciones con las personas y el año pasado aquí, que se trataba de tratar de memorizar cosas, lo cual odiaba.

For the first time I am starting to enjoy school for more than the social reasons. I like doing homework with the help of my parents and listening in to everyone talk about stuff in class. This is a big change from my education at the Free School which was about people interactions and last year here which was all about trying to memorize things, which I hated.

Todos en mi país en América, al menos los adultos, no hacen más que hablar de política. Eso incluye a mi mamá y mi papá. No estoy seguro de que algo haga una diferencia real. Hace que todos se estresen o se enojen. Me gustaba Obama y no me gustaba Trump pero me pierdo cuando empiezan a hablar de todos en política de la misma manera. ¿Es realmente tan blanco y negro? Todo ese sistema necesita cambiar.

Everybody in my country back in America, at least the grownups, do nothing but talk about politics. That includes my mom and dad. I am not sure anything makes a real difference. It makes everyone stress out or get angry. I liked Obama and didn´t like Trump but I get lost when they start talking about everyone in politics the same way. Is it really so black and white? That whole system needs to change.

 How are you right now?

Estoy muy bien. me han dado de comer. Las mascotas me miran. Nos mudaremos de casa esta semana y he tenido que cargar muchas cosas pesadas, pero el nuevo lugar es bastante bueno y está más cerca del centro de nuestra ciudad y comenzaré un nuevo trabajo como barista y dirigiré una sala de cine si todo va según lo planeado. Las personas que me dieron el trabajo son realmente geniales, más como amigos que como jefes.

I am feeling great. I´ve been fed. The pets are staring at me. We are moving houses this week and I have had to carry a lot of heavy stuff but the new place is pretty cool and closer into the center of our city and I will be starting a new job as a barista and running a movie theater if everything goes as plan. The people giving me the job are really cool, more like friends than bosses.

 What needs to change? 50 words

Las distancias entre lugares deben minimizarse tanto como sea posible. Tengo amigos en Guanajuato e Irapuato, pero también en Albany New York de donde soy. Está bien hablar con amigos por teléfono o jugar con ellos en Playstation, pero no hay nada como estar allí en persona. ¿No se trata del maldito tiempo que tenemos viajes en el tiempo real para que podamos compartir el tiempo en diferentes lugares al mismo tiempo?

The distances between places should be minimized as much as possible. I have friends in Guanajuato and Irapuato, but also in Albany New York where I am from. It´s okay talking to friends on the phone or playing games with them on Playstation but it´s nothing like being there in person. Isn´t it about freakin´ time that we have real time travel so we can actually share time in different places at the same time?

Emotional Dimension

I feel tired and bored when I´m forced to do homework. I´m excited to have no school Friday because it means i can sleep more instead of having to go school. I feel good when i´m in my house and dont have to do anything. Animals make me feel good when i dont acctualy

Hola mi llamo es Milo Smart es mi primero semestre a Prepatec de Monterrey. 

Personality traits- I like video games, basketball, football, fashion, movies, TV shows, animals. I don't like most vegetables, the country, mosquitos. Strengths- I´m good with animals. I´m a good friend. Weaknesses- lazy, always being tired, I don´t like talking to people first. Interesting facts about me- 

I've been to a lot of different places like Italy, France, Canada. I cant dance, I´m helping some friends make a movie. 

Spiritual Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats.

What needs to change?

I never went to church. My mother is Jewish my father grew up going to some churches but then became a writer and stopped believing. Last year I went to a Catholic School. Before that I went to a Free School. I think there is something spiritual out there but I do not know what it is and do not really care about searching. At least yet.

Spiritual Dimension

 I don´t have a religious background, and I don´t believe in God.  I do believe in a higher being, though. 

I believe in good and bad, moral and immoral behavior. Treat others how you would have them treat you. I think that when you die, you´re dead and there is no everlasting soul.
